A conference sponsored by the Jesuit Social Research Institute and the Center for the Study of New Orleans, made possible by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

Rooted in the biblical tradition of hospitality, the conference will examine how well poor, elderly, and minority residents and newcomers alike have been welcomed to New Orleans in the five years since the hurricane and what still needs to be done.
