Extracurricular Grants
The institute is aware that traditional curricular offerings are not the only avenue for promoting the study and exploration of the Catholic tradition. Faculty-student seminars, lectures, research projects, discussion groups, and a variety of other initiatives including the development of appropriate library collections can be very effective ways of engaging both students and faculty in constructive research and dialogue.
Applications for non-curricular grants to the institute follow the same procedural process as curricular grants: applicants (faculty, staff, or students) are to obtain approval from their respective departmental chairs and the dean of the college. Grants must be in accord with the mission of the institute and will be judged on how well they meet the criteria for grants.
The director of the institute will supply forms for the grant. When appropriate, the director may require from the recipient a written evaluation of the project once it has been completed.
