Wayne Parent

Dr. Parent is a frequent commentator on national and Louisiana politics for the local, state, and national media. He has appeared on ABC’s Nightline, CBS’s Sunday Morning, CNN’s Inside Politics, PBS’ Lehrer News Hour, and NPR’s All Things Considered. His areas of expertise are Southern Politics, Elections and La. Politics. He has recently served as both Department Chair and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at LSU and is currently the Russell B. Long Professor of Political Science.
