Institute of Politics

For over forty years, the IOP has worked to educate individuals interested in politics and political leadership in our region. Today, more than ever, we need to call forth citizens whose vision includes a vibrant New Orleans, one in which our traditions meet with realities of life in post-Katrina south Louisiana.

Specifically, we are searching for people who have the talent and willingness to make a difference in the political process and take on the leadership roles which are so needed as we rebuild New Orleans.

We are thrilled that the beginning of our 2009-2010 class is upon us.  The first class will be held on Tuesday, October 6th and is approaching rapidly. 

Please know that if you are interested in the 2010-2011 class feel free to apply now and we will keep your application on hand for the 2010-2011 class.

Finally, to all past fellows our annual fundraiser reunion will be held on Loyola's main campus on November 15th at 5:30pm.
