Naming Policy for Network Resources
Some of the network resources on campus will require that a user authenticate before access is allowed. In an effort to keep the configuration of these connections consistent, Information Technology has implemented the following resource naming policies.
- A user’s profile user name and password on their desktop computer must be the same user name and password they user for their email account.
- The user’s email account user name and password also needs to be used for connecting to mapped drives and network storage devices
