Rankings and Accolades :

  • Ranked # 6 in Princeton’s Best College Libraries 2008 among other institutions such as Harvard College, Princeton University, Cornell University and Columbia University.
  • 17-year ranking in US News & World Report’s Top 10 Southern region schools
  • Ranked in top Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities quartile (AJCU) in standardized test scores for incoming freshmen (ranked 4th out of 28)
  • 2007 GCAC/NAIA Women’s Basketball Champions; currently ranked # 16 in  the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics “Top 25”
  • Selected as the four-year site for Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance
  • In the March 2008 Reader’s Digest, Loyola received an “A” rating for our safety record and was listed as being one of the safest universities in the country.
  • Standard & Poor's recently upgraded Loyola’s rating outlook on Louisiana Public Facilities Authority’s revenue bonds from negative to stable and affirmed its “A+” standard long-term and underlying rating on issued bonds.
  • The Corporation for National and Community Service named Loyola to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for its community service activities during the 2006–2007 academic year.
