Giving Opportunities for the College of Social Sciences
Private gifts to the College of Social Sciences support undergraduate research, encourage faculty and students to undertake international projects, and enhance academic programming.
Gifts to the College of Social Sciences Annual Fund are used at the dean’s discretion and can be applied where funds are most needed. Other funding priorities include:
- School of Mass Communication: updates to technology and digital convergence - $2,000,000
- School of Nursing:
- Support for doctor of nursing practice degree
- Visiting professorships - $60,000
- Strategic nursing leadership chair - $1,200,000
- Graduate scholarships - $25,000 each
- Teaching assistantships - $500,000
- Fund for emerging pedagogical technology - $100,000
- Loyola Institute for Ministry
- Support for translating LIM curriculum into Spanish - $50,000
- Scholarships for LIM students - $25,000
- Department of Criminal Justice: Distinguished chair - $1,200,000
- Department of Sociology: Scholarships - $25,000 each
- Evening Programs: Graduate scholarships and assistantships for non-traditional students - $50,000
