Policy

Loyola University New Orleans Parking Services/Express Card will issue official photo identification (Express Card) to all employed full-time and part-time faculty and staff members of the University.

The Express Card serves as personal identification and provides access to many campus services. Staff and faculty present their Express Card for use of University’s libraries’ services, Recreational Sports Center (membership at discounted rate), intercollegiate athletic events on campus and at Segnette Stadium. Card holders may establish a Debit account to purchase food and drinks from food service outlets or items from the University Bookstore or Mane Attraction.

Employees receive a 10% discount at the University Bookstore on items not previously discounted. Full-time Loyola employees who are Loyola students receive a 10% discount on textbooks. Loyola students who are dependents of full-time employees are also eligible for the discount on textbooks provided the employee is present at time of purchase.

The Express Card is to be presented when University Police personnel request an employee’s identification.

Procedure

All new faculty and staff will receive an Express Card in Parking Services/Express Card located in the Danna Center after the new-hire process has been completed. The Express Card displays a color photo of the faculty or staff member, their full name and the status, “Faculty/Staff”.

Upon separation from the University, the Express Card should be returned to Human Resources. The supervisor should collect the card as part of the Termination Checklist (Adobe PDF), or it can be turned in to Human Resources at the time of the employee’s exit interview. Any balance of funds on the card will be refunded by the Bursar’s office.
