Policy

Loyola University New Orleans is required by law to accept legal assessment and garnishments and other wage orders. The University will withhold part of an employee’s salary until the assignment is satisfied or released.

Procedure

Any Loyola department or employee receiving a notice of garnishment or wage order must forward it immediately to Payroll. Payroll will notify the employee of the receipt of a garnishment. Deductions for garnishments or levies will be made in accordance with federal and state regulations.
