Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor to teach African American and Caribbean literature, beginning August 2010. Assistant Professor of Asian History - College of Humanities and Natural Sciences
Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Asian History beginning in August 2010. Specialist in Chinese history preferred. Assistant Professor, Department of Religious Studies - College of Humanities and Natural Sciences
Loyola University, New Orleans. The Department of Religious Studies seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning Fall 2010, in Islam. The area of specialization is open. Expertise in Arabic and/or other relevant research languages is required. Demonstrating excellence in teaching undergraduates will positively influence our deliberations. The successful candidate will teach general introductory courses in Islam and one in world religions. The teaching load is three courses per semester.

Assistant Professor Physics - College of Humanities and Natural Sciences
The Physics Department at Loyola University New Orleans has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2010. A Ph.D. degree in physics or a related field is required. Director of Forensic Chemistry Program - College of Humanities and Natural Sciences
The Chemistry Department at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a Director of the Loyola University Forensic Chemistry Program. The successful candidate will have a masters degree in forensic science with field experience or a bachelors degree in forensic science with considerable field experience. The candidate will also demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and conducting research with undergraduates. The candidate will be responsible for teaching majors courses in forensic chemistry as well as oversight of the forensic chemistry internship and undergraduate research programs. Faculty Positions - School of Nursing
Loyola University New Orleans, a progressive Jesuit university, seeks to hire outstanding faculty for three newly-created tenure track and full-time contract positions in the School of Nursing beginning August 2009. We are expanding our programs at the graduate level for Nurse Practitioners and Health Care Systems Management, and proposing a Doctor of Nursing Practice Program due to high demand.
Responsibilities include teaching on-campus and/or online; community, university, college, and school engagement; student supervision; curriculum development, revision, and evaluation; program development funding; and research translation for practice and scholarship.
Ideal candidates will have a doctoral degree and national certification as a Family/Adult Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Administrator. Experience in education and practice is desired.
