John Biguenet and "The Vulgar Soul"
| John Biguenet is the
Robert Hunter Distinguished Professor of English at Loyola University
New Orleans. His fiction, poetry, and essays have appeared recently
in such journals
as

Washington Post, Esquire,
Granta, Story, Zoetrope: All-Story, DoubleTake, Ellery Queen Mystery
Magazine, and Ploughshares as well as in various anthologies. Oyster,
