Loyola University New Orleans' Class of 2009 dedicated a sculptural bench to the university on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 to pay tribute to 637 colleges that took in displaced Loyola students in the semester following Hurricane Katrina. We will always be grateful that the Higher Education Community and the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Post-Secondary Education and Federal Student Aid chose to generously support our community in the days following Katrina.
