Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy:Health Care Systems Management - MSN Program:The following policy can also be found in the 2004 edition of the Loyola University MSN Handbook
In order to remain in good standing and progress through the Health Care Systems Management MSN Program, a student must earn at least a grade of "C" in any graduate course and must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher inLoyola University New Orleans graduate course work. If a student earns a grade of "D" in any graduate course, the student ,will no be eligible to return to Loyola's MSN program. A student whose cumulative grade point average falls below 3.0 will be placed on academic probation. A student on academic probation has nine semester credit hours or two semesters (whichever comes first) to remove the academic deficiency. If the deficiency is not removed in the alloted time, the student will not be eligible to continue in the H.C.S.M. Program. Students whose cumulative GPA is at least 2.0 will be permitted to receive federal financial aid funds while on academic probation. In order to remain in good standing and progress through the Nurse Practitioner MSN Program , a student must: 1. Earn at least a B in all primary care courses (NURS 705,725,745,750, 755) and 2. Earn at least a B in all clinical practicum courses (NURS 706,771,772,773,774,775, 776) 3. Earn at least a C in all other graduate courses 4. Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in Loyola University graduate course work. A student will be allowed to repeat a primary casre course once in order to achieve the required minimum grade of B. A student will be allowed to repeat a clinical course once in order to pass the clinical component of the course. A student whose cumulative grade point average falls below 3.0 will be placed on academic probation. A student on academic probation has nine semester credit hours or two semesters (whichever comes first) to remove the academic deficiency.
