How to get started

  1. Watch the video "How to Get Started with Your Service Learning Placement" and take the online quiz.
  2. Document all your hours using a service learning timesheet. Submit timesheets to the service learning office twice per semester (midterm and last day of the semester). Check the Loyola Service Learning Calendar for deadlines.
  3. Know that your agency supervisor will submit a written performance evaluation on your work at the end of the semester. This evaluation will be given to your professor and incorporated into your class grade. Click here for a sample evaluation.
