The Edible Schoolyard NOLA's (ESYNOLA) primary goal is to engender generations of children with positive relationships with food, the natural world, themselves, and their community. We do this with comprehensive food education that integrates hands-on organic gardening and seasonal cooking into the school curriculum, culture, and cafeteria programs.
WHAT YOU DO
Assist in garden classes, cooking classes, gardening classes, in the garden or with photography, design, and visuals for special events.
WHAT YOU LEARN
Students will learn how to engage positively with children in grades K-8th. They will also be able to work alongside trained chef and garden teachers to learn basic skills of cooking and/or gardening. Students will learn the philosophy behind food education and be a part of our mission to change the way children eat, learn, and live.
