Mold
Loyola University residence halls did not receive
flooding and did not experience mold growth. The
residence halls have been extensively inspected by university staff to ensure that there is no mold. Mold problems have been an issue in parts of the city that experienced flooding.
For those students residing off-campus, the university
advises you to check your apartment for mold growth if
it experienced flooding. The Center for Disease
Control and Prevention has prepared a guide on
possible health effects of mold exposure. You may
access that guide
www.bt.cdc.gov/disasters/hurricanes/environmental.asp
Students who do not have a residence hall room on
campus and desire to apply for housing for the spring
2006 semester should complete the student survey that
will be placed on the Loyola web page. Consideration
for housing off-campus students will be made on a
space available situation.
