KATRINA RECOVERY RESOURCES

www.APAHelpCenter.org

This resource of the American Psychological Association has several very important articles including: "Managing Traumatic Stress: After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita" and "Resilience: After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita". The information here will be useful for all members of the Loyola community to help understand our responses to this trauma and to support our children, families, and friends.

www.CampusRelief.org

This is a great resource and clearinghouse of information for students, faculty and staff. There are sections addressing resources for students, offering assistance and employment/support for faculty and staff, and links to all affected campuses.

www.redcross.org

The Red Cross offers assistance at many levels for those affected by Katrina. Their website offers a wide variety of articles for coping with the aftermath of Katrina.

www.fema.gov

Counseling & Career Services

The Counseling and Career Services staff are available to discuss any concerns with students and staff. Initial questions and concerns can be addressed to Dr. Christopher Flynn at flynn@loyno.edu and either he or one of the staff members will respond as soon as possible. Please include email address and telephone number in your email. We will be back on campus as soon as the campus is deemed safe and re-opened.
