Community Service

In the Jesuit tradition, Loyola University New Orleans strives to develop individuals who dedicate their lives to service for others.

  • Every day, society benefits through the community service and civic engagement activities of Loyola's students, faculty, and staff. Members of the Loyola community contribute their talents to a variety of service learning and volunteerism projects throughout New Orleans, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and various service learning projects. Loyola’s impact is tremendous.

  • Composed of and directed by student volunteers, the Loyola University Community Action Program (LUCAP) is a campus organization that provides and directs volunteers in service-oriented activity within the community and the university, informs and promotes involvement in the area of social justice, and aids in the volunteers' social and spiritual growth through their involvement in service and care-giving activities.

  • Wolves on the Prowl is an nationwide alumni event, an annual community service day where students, alumni, parents, and friends across the country work together to be men and women for others.
