What about vegetarians?
Since students choosing a vegetarian lifestyle have more
limited dietary options, Loyola Dining Services has implemented special
entrees into their dining program aimed to meet their particular needs.
In the Orleans Room, Loyola Dining Services has implemented a vegetarian
platform called the “Greenery,” which offers a fresh vegetarian
entree daily. Some examples include a tempeh, zucchini, pasta and vegetable
toss, Cantonese stir-fry with broccoli, chickpeas with garlic and tomato
sauce, curried tofu with soy sauce and brown rice, bbq portabello mushroom
sandwich and many more delicious specials!
We offer Garden burger veggie patties at the grill, and our deli station
will be glad to create a veggie sandwich. Loyola Dining Services is committed
to providing at least one vegetarian option at each retail location as
well... Godfather's can whip up a Cheese pizza, just give them
eight minutes. In the Underground,
Sandella's makes one of the best Veggie Wrap around,
among other vegetarian specials.
Do I have to purchase a meal plan?
Full or part-time undergraduate students living in the residence halls are required
to purchase a meal plan; all other students may participate on a voluntary
basis.
How much do the meal plans cost?
Please visit the meal plans webpage for current prices.
All meal plans are billed to the your tuition account.
How long is the meal plan contract?
The length of the meal plan contract is for the ENTIRE academic year.
You are allowed the first two weeks of each semester to change their
meal plan selection. You will be asked in November to submit a
Meal Plan Change Form for the spring; if a form is not submitted, we
simply assume the same level of participation as in the fall.
How do I know how many meals and/or Wolf Bucks I have left?
Simply ask any cashier at any time for your account balance. To help you
budget your Wolf Bucks, signs will be posted at the register each week
letting you know how many Wolf Bucks you should have remaining in your
account to get you through the semester.
If I run out of Wolf Bucks, can I buy more?
Yes. Students may add additinal Wolfbucks in $100 increments up to nine (9) times a semester. Visit the Meal Plan Website and complete the Add More Wolfbucks Contract. You also have the option of adding funds to
your student debit account (Express Card).
What happens if I miss a meal?
Meals do not carry over from week to week. Wolf Bucks, however, will carry
over from fall semester to spring semester, but not from year-to-year.
What if I need my meal to go?
All of our retail locations are set up for take-out for lunch. Because breakfast, dinner, and brunch are all-you-can-eat, we do not allow
"to go" boxes. However, if you have an academic or work conflict,
you can call Loyola Dining Services in advance to have a boxed meal prepared
for you. If you are sick, just have the student health assistant in your
residence hall give us a call. We will be happy to accommodate you.
What if I live off campus?
The Wolf-Bucks Only plan is just right for you! You can eat anytime, anywhere
on campus without worrying about having cash. Cooking at home can be a
drag because someone has to shop and someone has to do dishes... most
likely you! Giving up your parking space to cruise a drive thru is frustrating,
too. If you think you are going to be on or within walking distance of
campus several nights a week (or on weekends), consider one of our Semester Plans, any 50, 75, or 100 all-you-can-eat meals with $500 of Wolfbucks.
I have already used all ten of my Orleans Room meals. How can I buy
an 11th?
You can pay for dinner or brunch at the door with either Wolf Bucks, Loyola
Express Card, or cash.
Can I let someone else use my Meal Plan or Meal Card?
No, the Dining Services Meal Plan contract specifies that the meals provided
are for the contract holder only. No one else may use your Meal Plan at
dinner or brunch meal times.
How are the “Wolf Bucks” account and Loyola Express Card account
alike, and how are they different?
Both accounts are tracked on your Loyola Express Card and both balances
are measured in dollars. Both can be used in our dining locations for
purchases. Both are pre-funded and have a balance that declines with
each purchase. However, the difference is that Wolf Bucks is a part
of the Meal Plan that is required for all students living in the resident halls and the
Loyola Express Card is an independent account.
