Our Mission
The Center for the Study of Catholics in the South (CSCS) is the only Catholic studies center in the nation focusing on religious life in the South. Its mission is to make Loyola's valuable resources on southern Catholicism publicly available and to preserve this collection of knowledge for future generations.
The center celebrates the Catholic, and Jesuit heritage of Loyola University New Orleans, and deepens our understanding of the experience of American Catholics.
