Master of Criminal Justice Application Form

Step 1:

The application for admission to the Master of Criminal Justice Program is available as a download in the Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF format. If you have the Acrobat Reader, skip to Step 2. If you do not have the Acrobat Reader installed on your computer it is available as a free download on the Adobe web site. Once you have the Acrobat Reader return to this page.

Step 2:

Download the Master of Criminal Justice application. Fill out the application using the Acrobat Reader and then print it.

Step 3:

Return the application with as many of the following documents as possible:

    1. A completed Application for MCJ Admission;
    2. $20 application fee;
    3. A bachelor’s degree and a record of academic achievement from an accredited college or university;
    4. An official transcript from each institution attended sent directly to the appropriate admissions office. For transcripts other than English, please provide a certified English translation with an explanation of the grading system;
    5. Satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT);
    6. Three letters of recommendation from persons knowledgeable about the applicant’s aptitude for graduate work, such as former professors or master’s prepared supervisors;
    7. A resume of professional work experience
    8. A statement of educational goals that addresses the following points:
      1. How do you think the MCJ degree will enhance your professional development?, and;
      2. What expectations do you hope to realize by earning the degree?

If any of the required documents are not sent with the application, they must eventually be received by the Department of Criminal Justice before the candidate's interview can be set up.
