Baccalaureate Mass: Friday, May 20, 4 p.m. in the University Sports Complex on the Loyola University New Orleans Main Campus
In accordance with custom, students must wear their cap and gown. Hoods, cords, stoles, etc. are to be worn at commencement only.
This should depend upon your plans after the ceremonies. However, we would suggest that you wear something comfortable, but tasteful. For men, slacks, lightweight dress shirt and dark shoes would be appropriate. For women, you have a broad range of choices. Slacks are certainly acceptable. Please wear comfortable shoes! The Superdome is big and there is a lot of walking!
Bachelor's degree candidates - the tassel should be worn on the right until the degree is conferred. Graduate degree candidates the tassel should be worn on the left.
No, instructions will be given to you prior to the ceremony. This is the reason that we ask you to be on time and several hours early.
You may invite as many guests as you like. Tickets or invitations are not required for admittance.
Normally, the ceremony will last about 2 hours. Please allow enough time for pictures after the ceremony, and for traffic leaving the Superdome.
All students completing their degree in Spring or Summer 2016, with the exception of extension students, are required to complete this survey. The survey is sent to your Loyola email address only.
