What time must students arrive at the Superdome?

Students must arrive already robed no later than 4:15 p.m. Enter the Superdome through Gate A, Ground Level, Poydras Street side of the Superdome. Do not bring purses, cameras, alcohol and other personal items to the graduate entrance. Give them to your family or friends to hold. The procession will leave the staging area promptly at 5:45 p.m.

Are tickets required for the ceremony?

No, tickets or invitations are not required. You may invite as many guests as you wish.

How early may guests arrive for the ceremony?

Guests may enter the designated parking lots beginning at 3:00 p.m. The doors to the Superdome will open at 4:00 p.m.

Where to park and what are the accommodations for the physically challenged?

Handicapped parking is available in the ADA East and ADA West lots, which are accessible via the Poydras Street side of the Superdome with entry into the Superdome via Gate A. Please note that the vehicle must have a handicapped hang tag or license plate for entry to the ADA lots.

Handicapped parking will be also be available in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Garage #1 and Garage #6. The entrances for Garage #1 and Garage #6 are via Poydras Street.

Parking is $15 per vehicle and is payable in cash only upon entering the parking facilities.

There is a handicapped drop off area located in front of Gate A, Ground Level, Poydras Street, side of the Superdome. Handicapped entry into the Superdome is via Gate Gate A, Ground Level or Gates B and C, Plaza Level. The Superdome is wheelchair accessible. If you require handicapped seating, please ask Superdome personnel for directions to the designated seating area upon your arrival.

The Superdome does not provide wheelchairs for transportation to and from handicapped seating. If you require a wheelchair, it will be necessary to bring one with you.

How long will the ceremony last?

The ceremony is scheduled to be completed within 90 minutes. If you are making reservations for dinner, you should allow enough time to mingle with your professors and friends after the ceremony, exit the parking lot and reach your destination.

Will a video be available?

A video recording of the entire ceremony will be available for viewing and downloading free of charge approximately one week after the event at www.loyno.edu/commencement.

When can I expect to receive my diploma?

Diplomas will be mailed in June. Please make sure your balance is paid in full and you have completed your online senior exit survey (Spring and Summer candidates only). Exit surveys will be sent out in early April to your loyno.edu address, surveys which all graduates are required to complete.

When do faculty and staff participating in the academic procession need to arrive?
