Delta Sigma Theta

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a public service organization founded on Christian principles with an emphasis on scholarship, service, and sisterhood. Twenty-two dynamic women founded this organization on the campus of Howard University in 1913. Today, Delta Sigma Theta boasts a membership of over 250,000 women, making it one of the largest predominantly African-American women's organization in the world. Its membership is dedicated to the mission and vision of the founders and contributes countless hours of public service implemented through the sorority's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust. The Nu Mu Citywide Chapter is active on the campuses of Loyola and Tulane Universities, as well as in the Greater New Orleans community.
