Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Chi Omega is a women's fraternity dedicated to leadership, learning, service, and friendship. The Zeta Psi chapter at Loyola was founded in 1984. It was named Outstanding Chapter of the Year for 2005 and 2006, and its members are involved in dozens of other campus organizations, teams, and honor societies. The national Alpha Chi philanthrophy is for victims of domestic violence, and the ladies of Zeta Psi work closely with Crescent House, a local New Orleans shelter for battered women and children. Alpha Chi Omega hosts two events every year to raise money and awareness for this cause, the Purple Ribbon Benefit Concert in the spring and Mr. Alpha Chi Pageant in the fall. The women of Alpha Chi Omega are an important part of the Loyola community, as well as dedicated members of the New Orleans community.
