Who we are:
- The fraternity and sorority community at Loyola University New Orleans consists of a group of diversified men and women belonging to 16 different fraternities and sororities, encompassing 20 percent of Loyola’s undergraduate population.
- Our fraternity and sorority members are often leaders in various areas of campus involvement.
- Our Greek community provides its members with opportunities for growth and excellence in academics, service and philanthropy, social interaction, and values-based leadership. Fraternity and sorority membership can offer a more well-rounded college experience in conjunction with the Jesuit ideals of Loyola.
- The Greek community has provided a significant outlet for those dedicated to making such commitments. The Greek experience is tremendous for those students who choose to join. A fraternity or sorority will provide life-long friendships and excellent opportunities for personal growth.
- At Loyola, we have three major governing Councils for Greek Life. Each council is a vital part of the Greek community:
- The Interfraternity Council (IFC) represents 5 fraternities.
- The National Pan-Hellenic Council ( NPHC) represents our 6 historically African-American fraternities and sororities.
- The Panhellenic Association (PHA) represents 4 sororities.
