The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies is honored to present Jallalla: Masters of Bolivian Cinema, October 17-19, 2012. The event is organized by the Bolivian Studies Association with the collaboration of Loyola and Tulane Universities.
All presentations will take place on the campuses of Loyola and Tulane Universities. In addition to screenings, noted scholars and critics from the United States and Bolivia will discuss the role of cinema in contemporary Bolivian culture.
Filmmaker Antonio Equino will introduce his film Chuquiago on October 17
Marcos Loayza will present his film Cuestion de Fe on October 18
Via teleconference from Bolivia, Jorge Sanjines will introduce his latest film Insurgentes on October 19, its North American premier.
