COUNTRY FAIR

This free event showcases Loyola's diverse international community and gives students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to spend the afternoon "traveling" the world. At the Fair, Loyola's international students as well as U.S. Americans, set up tables where they showcase a variety of items and food from their home countries or from countries where they have studied abroad. 

COFFEE@CIE

This monthly event series brings Loyola students and our international community together for a global panel discussion. The topic will change each month and CIE will invite guests from all over the world to lead and contribute to the conversation. Past topics include: Autumn Folklore, Myths, and Festivals; Queer Abroad; and a Carnival edition which featured a performance from a Brazilian musician. Fix a mug of your favorite coffee or tea and join the conversation!  

EDUCATION ABROAD FAIR

The Education Abroad Fair features over 30 representatives from Loyola study abroad programs and study abroad organizations. The fair provides the Loyola community with an opportunity to explore summer and semester opportunities to study, volunteer and intern abroad in over 50 countries. 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION

The orientation covers information that international students need to know and provides a wonderful opportunity for them to meet other international students. The orientation program is mandatory for all international students and they must attend or they will not be allowed to register.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK

International Education Week promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

FIELD TRIPS

International students, ISA members and inBUS buddies have the opportunity to go on a variety of field trips throughout the year featuring Louisiana history and culture including swamp tours, plantation visits, crawfish boils and more!

FINDING A JOB IN THE U.S.

Presented by Center for International Education, the Career Development Center and an immigration attorney, this workshop covers specific employment options available to international students (such as Optional Practical Training, Curricular Practical Training, and H1-B work visa questions) as well as how to begin the job search process and interviewing techniques. 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SOIREE

The annual international student soiree features a speaker, food, and a music or dance performance from one country. The soiree also has a silent auction that showcases beautiful handicrafts from all over the world. All ticket and silent auction sales benefit the International Scholarship Fund. 

STUDY ABROAD 101

Come to a Study Abroad 101 information session, held through out the semester, to learn everything you need to know so you can start exploring your options, choosing your overseas location, and deciding which program best fits your academic and personal goals.
