Technology has become a significant part of all of our lives, that is no more true than for our students. Engaging students with technology is a cornerstone of engaged learning practices. There are many innovative faculty members across campus who are using various forms of technology to enhance and support their teaching practices. Monroe Library is the source for all forms of technical support related to teaching.
The Monroe Library's Faculty Innovation Lab (109) is available for faculty who are working on the production or enhancement of instructional materials. In this room, you have access to Mac and PC workstations and a scanner. Software includes Adobe Web Premium Suite, Atlas. ti, Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, and Microsoft Office. Please reserve this space using the online room reservation form on the library's home page, or contact media services.
Monroe Library's faculty and staff are dedicated to supporting and enhancing teaching and classroom practice at Loyola.
Media Services provides support to faculty for needs related to using clickers in the classroom, videoconferencing and webconferencing, reserving library classrooms and meeting space, and reserving portable equipment.
You don't have to be an online teacher to use the methods that have been successful for engaging students in creative ways. For anything related to Online/Hybrid Learning and Blackboard, Eric Wiltz, Jim Dugan, Peyton Burgess, or any many other Monroe Library staff can assist you with whatever you may need.
