Are you ready?

Mark your calendar:

1:00 to 6:00 p.m.
New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel

Employers from New Orleans and across the country are coming to this fair for one purpose - to hire college students. Many are hiring for their internship programs. Many more are looking for college seniors to hire for full-time positions.

These employers want college students from ALL majors. Close to 110 employers have signed up to attend this fair. They are looking to hire you!

Make sure you are prepared by planning ahead.

Research participating employers.

You can see who will be coming and the positions they are hiring for by clicking below.

Know who you want to talk to before you show up. You can avoid wasting valuable time.

Know about the organizations you're interested in. It impresses recruiters and helps you know if the organization is right for you.

Prepare an introduction that highlights your knowledge and skills. Knowing what you want to say to recruiters helps ease anxiety and helps you feel more confident as you approach potential employers.

__________________________________________________________

Get out your business suit.

Professional dress is critical! An employer's first impression of you can mean the difference between getting an interview and getting your resume tossed. To get hired, you want to impress these employers from the first moment they see you.

__________________________________________________________

Get your resume ready.

Your resume is critical to your success at the Mardi Gras Job & Internship Fair! Make sure your resume is polished and professional.

Some employers will be doing interviews the day of the fair as well as the day after the fair. The day of the fair, they will be talking with students and looking at resumes to help facilitate this process. Make your resume rise to the top of the stack.
