How to Prepare a Deposit
Departmental Deposits are accepted M-F from 8:30AM - 3:30PM
Checks
- Arrange all checks in the same direction.
- Make sure that the calculator has been cleared out and is so evidenced by a symbol at the top of the tape.
- Run two calculator tapes totaling all checks.
- Do not include cash on check tapes or in check totals.
- All checks must have stamped or written on the back:
1. The department's name
2. Account number (Deposits cannot be made to the "3000" subcode)
3. For Deposit Only Loyola University
Currency
- Sort all cash according to denominations
- Arrange all bills in the same direction.
- Make sure that the calculator has been cleared out and is so evidenced by a symbol at the top of the tape.
- Run a calculator tape with one entry for each denomination and a grand total.
Coin
- Place all coin in a coin envelope with the total marked on the outside.
- If there is a significant amount of coin, separate by denomination into as many envelopes as needed, labeling each with the amount of contents and denomination.
***Please count your money twice and be sure your totals match.
***Make certain cash is not included on check tapes or in check totals.
***All cash must be flat, not folded or crumpled.
