How to Prepare a Deposit

Departmental Deposits are accepted M-F from 8:30AM - 3:30PM

Checks

  1. Arrange all checks in the same direction.
  2. Make sure that the calculator has been cleared out and is so evidenced by a symbol at the top of the tape.
  3. Run two calculator tapes totaling all checks.
  4. Do not include cash on check tapes or in check totals.
  5. All checks must have stamped or written on the back:
    1. The department's name
    2. Account number (Deposits cannot be made to the "3000" subcode)
    3. For Deposit Only Loyola University

Currency

  1. Sort all cash according to denominations
  2. Arrange all bills in the same direction.
  3. Make sure that the calculator has been cleared out and is so evidenced by a symbol at the top of the tape.
  4. Run a calculator tape with one entry for each denomination and a grand total.

Coin

  1. Place all coin in a coin envelope with the total marked on the outside.
  2. If there is a significant amount of coin, separate by denomination into as many envelopes as needed, labeling each with the amount of contents and denomination.

***Please count your money twice and be sure your totals match.
***Make certain cash is not included on check tapes or in check totals.

***All cash must be flat, not folded or crumpled.
