Thank you to all who participated in

The 20th Anniversary of Walk for the Hungry:

Hunger to Harvest!

The year 2001 marked the 20th anniversary of the Walk for the Hungry. The theme for the walk was Hunger to Harvest.

Today the United Nations reports that 830 million people (200 million children under the age of 5 years) are afflicted by hunger (New York Times, 01/009/01).

On April 7, 2001, we walked together to fight hunger...

Join us next year on Saturday, March 23!

As people of faith, we take seriously the words of God revealed in James 2:12-17:

"What good is it to profess faith without practicing it? Such faith has no power to save one, has it? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and no food for the day, and you say to them, 'Good-bye and good luck! Keep warm and well-fed,' but do meet their bodily needs, what good is that? So it is with the faith that does nothing in practice. It is thoroughly lifeless."

Congratulations to the winners of the 20th Annual Walk for the Hungry Banner Contest!
