Board of Trustees - Loyola University New Orleans

The essential function of the Board of Trustees shall be policy making and responsibility for sound management. The Board shall formulate and determine the general, educational and financial policies as shall be deemed necessary for the administration and development of the Corporation in accordance with its shared purposes.

	Suzanne T. Mestayer, Chair Suzanne T. Mestayer is the managing member and cofounder of Advisean Partners, LLC, a wealth management company. Mestayer resides in Metairie, Louisiana.

	J. Kevin Poorman, Vice Chair Kevin Poorman is currently vice chair of Classic Residence by Hyatt and executive vice president and general counsel of Pritzker Realty Group, L.P. Poorman resides in Wilmette, Illinois.

	Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J., Ph.D., University President The Rev. Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J., Ph.D., formally assumed the duties of the university's 16th president effective July 1, 2004.

	Peter Rogers, S.J., First Vice President The Rev. Peter Rogers, S.J., has been a member of the Loyola Jesuit community and Loyola faculty since 1988. He is currently a professor of French at Loyola.

	Lawrence W. Moore, S.J., Secretary Treasurer The Rev. Lawrence W. Moore, S.J., is professor of law and associate dean for academic affairs at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. .

	James M. Bowler, S.J. The Rev. James M. Bowler, S.J., is the facilitator for Catholic and Jesuit Identity and Mission at Fairfield University, Fairfield, Conn.

	James A. Caillier, Ed.D. Dr. James Caillier is vice president of external affairs for Taylor Energy Company and executive director of the company’s charitable extension, the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation. Caillier resides in Lafayette, Louisiana.

	Carolyn Callahan Carolyn Callahan is vice president for development at Macfadden Communications Group in New York City. Callahan resides in Rye, New York.

	Gerald Cavanagh, S.J. The Rev. Gerald F. Cavanagh, S.J., holds the Charles T. Fisher, III, Chair of Business Ethics and is professor of management at the University of Detroit Mercy. Cavanagh resides in Detroit, Michigan.

	Karen J. Cooper Karen Johnson Cooper is an associate at the Phoenix, Arizona, office of Gust Rosenfeld, where she specializes in real estate law. Cooper currently resides in Kenner, Louisiana.

	Dennis C. Cuneo Dennis C. Cuneo serves as counsel to the Washington, D.C., law firm of Arent Fox. Cuneo lives in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

	Shawn M. Donnelley Shawn Donnelley is President of Strategic Giving, a firm providing consultation on philanthropy. Donnelley resides in Chicago, Illinois.

	David M. Ferris David Ferris is currently a first vice president with Merrill Lynch in Boston, Massachusetts. Ferris manages capital for over 65 institutions and ultra high net worth families around the world, including New York, Boston, San Francisco, London and Edinburgh. Ferris resides in Southborough, Massachusetts.

	John J. Finan, Jr. John J. Finan, Jr. serves as president and chief executive officer for the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, Inc. Finan resides in Mandeville, Louisiana.

	Michael J. Garanzini, S.J. The Rev. Michael J.Garanzini, S.J., was elected president, Loyola University Chicago, on January 19, 2001, and assumed his duties as president in June. Garanzini resides in Chicago, Illinois.

	S. Derby Gisclair S. Derby Gisclair is a co-founder and chief operating officer of Equitas Capital Advisors, L.L.C. Gisclair resides in New Orleans.

	Michael J. Graham, S.J. The Rev. Michael J. Graham, S.J. was appointed president of Xavier University in January 2001. Graham resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.

	Gail W. Jock Gail W. Jock is a civic leader and community activist in New York City.

	T. Frank Kennedy, S.J. Director of Jesuit Institute and holder of the Canisius chair at Boston College. Kennedy resides in Boston, Massachusetts.

	Mitchell J. Landrieu In January 2004, Mitch Landrieu became lieutenant governor of Louisiana. In this position, he serves as commissioner of the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism. Landrieu resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.

	Barry D. LeBlanc Mr. LeBlanc is an entrepreneur having focused his professional career on building food and life science companies around proprietary technologies. He resides in New Orleans with his wife, Teresa, and has three grown children.

	Rita Benson LeBlanc Rita LeBlanc is owner and executive vice president of administration for the New Orleans Saints. LeBlanc lives in Metairie, Louisiana.

	Joseph E. Mahoney, Jr. Joseph Mahoney is managing partner of the John Hancock Financial Network office in Dallas, Texas. He resides in Dallas.

	Floyd J. Malveaux, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Floyd J. Malveaux is the executive director of the Merck Childhood Asthma Network and emeritus dean of Howard University College of Medicine. Malveaux resides in Ellicott City, Maryland.

	Mark S. Massa, S.J. The Rev. Mark S. Massa, S.J., is the Karl Rahner Distinguished Professor of Theology in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and co-director of the Francis and Ann Curran Center for American Catholic Studies at Fordham University in New York. Massa resides in Bronx, New York.

	Elissa F. Moran Elissa Moran is a professional consultant. She is also founder and president of Friends of Nick, Inc., a nonprofit which delivers educational programs to inner city schools in the Archdiocese of New York. She resides in Greenwich, Connecticut.

	Joseph M. O'Keefe, S.J. The Rev. Joseph M. O’Keefe, S.J. is Professor of Education and Dean of the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. Father O’Keefe is an internationally recognized expert on faith-based schools.

	Kevin P. Quinn, S.J. The Rev. Kevin P. Quinn, S.J., is the executive director of the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education and a professor of law at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif.

	Robert A. “Bobby” Savoie Robert A. “Bobby” Savoie currently serves as the chief executive officer of Altus Technology Systems and as the managing partner of Savoie Properties, LLC. Savoie resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.

	Ashley C. Schaffer Ashley Schaffer works as a freelance editor and development adviser. Her current project involves consultation between Habitat for Humanity's Kansas City chapter and BNIM, a national green architecture firm, to research, design, and build home models that will then be replicated by HFH chapters nationally. Also a poet, she resides in Amherst, Massachusetts.

	Chad Shinn Chad Shinn is an executive officer of the board of the New Orleans Hornets. Involved with the team since its inception in 1987, he assists and advises on key decisions and strategies for the team. He resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.

	N. John Simmons, Jr. N. John Simmons, Jr., is CEO of Lifestyle Family Fitness, a Top 20 U.S. chain of 55 fitness clubs, and is executive-in-residence for the University of South Florida School of Accountancy. Simmons resides in the Tampa Bay area.

	Paul Soukup, S.J. The Rev. Paul A. Soukup, S.J., teaches in the Communication Department at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif.
