DESCRIPTION: Leah Green, of the Lafitte Housing Development Tenant Council, bucket in hand, stands over the months supply of food that went bad. ÒThis mess represents a lot of my limited resourcesÓ she said. After she and her family evacuated to a shelter in Johnson, Miss., they came home to a devastated community. HANO is allowing them to enter and clean up their apartment. The Housing Authority will them secure each home and inspect them individually for storm and water damage. Her son, Albert Green, 43 is seen man-handling her refrigerator. She had a very positive attitude regarding her ability to prevail over her bleak situation.
