DESCRIPTION: 21Sep 05 Gene Boudin, 57 has lived in Treme for over 35 years, and seen this neighborhood go up and down. Living off of whatÕs left in the pantry of a friends home that heÕs watching along with his own. Gene gets handouts of food and water from the Salvation Army, which has been the only relief agency present on the East Bank of New Orleans. The neighborhood has been with out any utilities since Hurricane Katrina struck nearly a month ago. He says he feels things will get better as soon as some stores open up.
