DESCRIPTION: Next Generation Gun,
A ballsy young white kid from Colorado, sleeping in his truck, came to New Orleans to make photographs. Named Bret Butterstein. Saw my truck and mud prints. Figured, if that old man can go back there...so can I. He was the only other person back in that flooded Lower Ninth Ward for the two hours IÕd spent hoofing it.
These are some of the meanest streets in town. Native Ninth WarderÕs used to claim, ÒIÕm from the Mighty NineÉand I donÕt mind dying. Ò I admired the man, so as not to discourage him, I didn't tell him about the alligator.
