GREEN TO GOLD PROGRAM

The Green to Gold Program offers a competitive scholarship program to active duty
enlisted soldiers. It is designed to select the best qualified soldiers to attend college and participate in Army ROTC. It allows you to complete a bachelors degree and receive
a commission as a Second Lieutenant (2LT) in the US Army. Once commissioned you
may return to Active Duty or serve with the Army Reserves / National Guard as a lieutenant and serve for a period of 8 years.

 

1.   Eligibility Requirements:

   

    a.   You must be a US Citizen.

    b.   You must be under 27 years of age by 30 June in year of Commissioning. (The maximum years of age is 31 with 1 for 1 extension based on active years of service)

    c.   You must have served for at least 2 years on Active Duty.

    d.   You must have a GT Score of 110 or better.

    e.   You must have a SAT score of at least 920 or  ACT score of at least 19.

    f.   You must have a 2.5 GPA or higher on any undergraduate course work you have taken.

    g.   You must have the minimum credits already completed to receive a scholarship.

         For a 2YR Scholarship, you must have at least  54 credits.

         For a 3YR Scholarship, you must have at least  27 credits.

    h.   You must have good morale character.

    i.   You must meet the fitness standards in AR 145-1 (pass Army Physical Fitness Test)

    j.   You must meet the height/weight standards of AR 600-9.

    k.   You must have a Letter of Acceptance from your chosen College or University.

    l.   You must have a Letter of Acceptance from the Professor of Military Science of the ROTC program you are wishing to attend.

    m.   You have a Letter of Recommendation from your Company/Battalion Commander.
