During Greek Week in Spring 2000, I went to my roommate's home that Friday night in Bayou Buff, La, near Thibodeaux. She decided to bring a live speciment back from the trip for extra credit in Dr. Bob's herpatology class. She brought back a baby alligator - Jacque - needed water so we put him the Cabra fountain. Jacque swam away and got lost. This was a federal offense so we decided to clean up Audubon Park in honor of Greek Week. A lovely desk assistant said it was a sorority prank - as The Maroon took pictures and animal control hauled Jaque to the zoo. For the record, this was not a prank ... the guy just needed water.
