David M. Aplin joined the Department of Criminal Justice August 2000 at the beginning of the 2000-2001 academic year. He received his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University New Orleans in the Spring of 1996. He devoted most of his research on Youth Gangs.   Prior to coming to Loyola University and New Orleans, David retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service.  His last duty assignment was at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base, Colorado, where he helped provide communications-computer systems management support for components of NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command), United States Space Command, and Air Force Space Command.
